Logo design I did for our 2005 robot. I superimposed the logo over the top of the picture ([link]) taken by an ex X-Cat of what I think the coolest thing our team ever designed. X-WhAAAt!?'s pneumatic claw.
Now your probably wondering how we came up with such a strange name for our robot. Well every year we have the team vote on the name of our robot and our coach Brittany and our spirit leader (or as we title them Princess of Positive Propaganda ) Lizzie really pushed for this name. And for some reason we allow everybody to make three choices and they just loaded up on their choice and lobbied other team members hard for the name.
To put it simply the adults hated the name at first but the girls put out to the team why they did it and what it meant.
Lizzie intended it to be used in a cheer with the MC.
MC: X-WhAAAt!
X-Cats: YE-AH!
MC: X-WhAAAt!
X-Cats: OK!
and it grew on the team. It also helped that it was the first robot we ever won a competition with.
