This is a picture of the largest piece of work I have ever worked on.
It's a 25' x 20' banner made back in 2002 for the X-Cats. I also unleashed a red mist in the shop doing this as well (though this one was first). I basically spread the canvas out by hanging from the pipes on the ceiling by bungie cords. Looking back that was apretty dangerous thing to do since I was working by myself. I'm very unhappy how the logo turned out but I didn't do too bad on the lettering.
The banner was first hung outside the Epcot center [link] (covering the FIRST banner with our banner probably didn't endear us to the power that be in FIRST. We moved it and had it facing the monorails. I heard that people in the park were going around asking "Who are the X-Cats?" Now that's advertising!). It took a heck of a pounding in the wind and we had to hang full water bottles from the bottom to stabilize it.
The picture is the banner hanging outside Reliant Park in Houston. When the championship moved to Atlanta we hung the banner from the top balcony but the Georgia dome security cracked down on teams and no longer allowed them to bring in banners or flags (fascist philistines!) two of our kids shuck up to the top balcony and hung the banner anyways. Security went up their looking for them but they hid in bathrooms and behind garbage pails to avoid them. They also jumped 12 feet down from one of the ramps and one of them sprained an ankle (they're into freerunning. And in spite of all this they said it was the most fun they had all weekend). i officially retired the banner. It pretty torn up now and I'm trying to find a home for it in the new site. It may get dusted off for FLR but it will never go to the championship every again.

So are you still involved in FIRST? Maybe we'll see you guys at Atlanta '09? haha =]
I hope we make it to the championship also. We're a rookie team down in New Zealand so we have to get through nationals yet. I'm still designing ours, but when we get them sorted, would you like to do a team badge swap?
If they want to go to a foreign regional they should consider GTR instead.
You mean like buttons? We got tons of those!
Gladly!
Yes, buttons! That's the word I was looking for XD
I'll keep you posted on when we get ours made (hopefully soonish)
Just remember win or lose just have fun!
Good luck this season!
