The Birth of Project X

So this is our 2004 animation. IT was a high concept piece and pretty ambitious for a 30 second animation. This time we didn't bother with a soundtrack and instead used sound effects exclusively. Even the dialogue at the end is a sound byte taken from online. Maggie Choy did the sound effects. I had the hardest time designing Xavier's lab coat and it ended up looking like a big white blob and his glasses were an even worse disaster. The laser and the cat transformation was a success. We tried to transfer CAD files for the robot and number one it killed the program and made it run slow as a painful death and for some strange reason when we tried to animate it it kept pulling itself apart. It was the last night before the deadline so we didn't have alot of time to be picky about the quality so we had to live with it.
Ironically this was the last bad robot we had in a long time (tipped over all the time)
