UPDATE: I am proud to announce that yesterday with the assistance of team 1507 The Warlocks from Lockport, New York and rookie team 3951 the SUITS from Honeyoye, New York the X-Cats emerged victorious at the 2012 Finger Lakes Regional claim their third ever regional win in a field of 41 teams.

The robot has one more competition in her but she's been having a rough time of it the last few events including suffering a bent front wheel of all things. Hopefully we can remedy that for the next event in October.

All the cool teams are doing it nowadays. They don't cost much, weigh next to nothing and don't put too much of a strain on the battery. It's an easy way to make the robot look great.
